Vince Wingo new president of Huna Research

Dr. E. Otha Wingo was President and Executive Directory of Huna Research Inc., for thirty-five years.

On the meeting of the Board of Directors of Huna Research on July 11th, 2007, he stepped down from both positions. James Vinson Wingo, his son, was elected as his successor, and accepted the appointment. Vince virtually dedicated his life to Huna and was working in Huna Research Inc. in the past, led Huna seminars, created educational products and wrote a book (still not published) on Huna. With him in charge, Huna Research will continue to be in right hands.

Pali Jae Lee on Huna

I'm reading the book Ho'opono - The Hawaiian Way to Put Things Back into Balance - by Pali Jae Lee, and might post a review once finished, but there is a one thing that catched my attention.

Pali Jae Lee was (still is?) a member of Huna Research, and speaker on their conferences, and I felt she is held in high respect in Huna community. She was a librarian (with Bishop Museum among others).

She claims to have done research in Brigham's daily journal (she was a librarian), where he wrote about a lot of tiny details and was meticulous about keeping it, but there is no mention of meeting with MFL anywhere. She unfolds a theory that MFL was "lying" knowingly (that his use of terms like aumakua, unihipili etc. was corrected by prof. Beckley, but MFL responded by saying that his audience would not know the difference).

Sharing Wellness covers Kahuna healing and Hawaiian herbal healing

Sharing Wellness is a recently emerged resource on wellness and healing, that covers various healing modalities, including Hawaiian herbal healing la`au lapa`au, Hawaiian Kahuna Healing or shamanism (and of course many other non-Hawaiian methods).

Lot of thought, dedication and effort was put into it, and knowing the people behind I am confident it will stand the proof of time and develop into a popular website.

They have articles, various resources, reference books, advice on finding the practitioner, what to expect, and last but not least, they actually have a list of practitioners.

Huna news -new podcasts, seminar, Louise Le Brun blog

Louise Le Brun is blogging on Evolution by Intention. While not specifically Huna blog, thus no entry to our Huna directory, she often mentions Huna in her posts.

Huna Trainer recently published a couple of interesting podcasts, including How to evangelize Huna, and How to effortlessly manifest anything you want.

Matthew B. James presents seminar on Huna from Jan 26 to Jan 28, 2007, in Otttawa at Embassy West Hotel.

Huna as a system

As i completed my one year Huna Program with a licensed trainer from the Institute of cosmic wisdom in 1985 even then i could hear a debate on the purity of Huna as a religion or as a system of metaphysics. Having practised Huna for over 21 years (and as a spiritual councillor - 11 years) my contention is that it's not whats the label as but what will take us into 4th/5th dimensional thinking - the new age. All systems across the world are faced with the same "CULTURAL" problem of what they are currently sacrificing to what gain?. Well any system that inbue's itself into a culture for uplifting purposes that the Higher Self can express thru will do it.

blogging about Huna - create your own Huna blog

Vince recently started his awesome Huna blog.

His one is not exactly in the spirit of blogging, he often uses it to post what one would call "articles" and to repost older long article stuff. No problem with that, though... but I still think blogs are most often used for those timely posts, usually short pieces of info, insights and comments.

Which got me thinking, blogs would be great learning vehicle for Huna community. Discussion forums are too, but the audience there is way too large.

With blogs, you can connect to few like-minded people on the same path, and support each other via comments and posting about what their posted. So it is more closed group, more focused, and with greater sense of support and mutual path-walking.

Who is who in huna. New book: The Huna Warrior.

Just started with a "who is who in huna" section.

It's mostly from short pieces of info I was able to collect on the internet and from books.

If you know more, know better, and/or would like to co-author, be my guest - you are warmly welcome. Just signup as a new user for this website, and feel free to write as much as you would like to.

Few months ago, new book on Huna was published, this time a fictional one: The Huna Warrior. While there will be probably no practical stuff, I'm sure it could provide a great deal of inspiration for many readers.
