Aloha kakou,
A nice site you have here!
As far as "practical" Huna goes...how can one know what one is to do, if one has no idea of what is expecterd of him?
The Huna Theology is where everything must start, IMHO. Without knowing what the game really is...how can we know who is wining?
The twin drives of Pono (Righteousness) and Pono`ole are inside of ourselves forever. What is our job, our only job here? To "Graduate" into na Aumakua when we die.
And the only Path to that is the Warrior's Path of Hewa (making mistakes), followed by mihi (acceptance responsibility and remorse for the mistake)and then followed by kala (release and forgiveness by the people you have harmed) and the restoration of lokahi (harmony) again, but now with the addition of na`auao (wisdom from the pain) gasined by the experience.
Once we know what the goal is, and that is religion, then the actions we must take to succeed in God's Plan here for us all becomes clearer.
And that is the areana religion and its theology alone.
Approaches to Huna:
