The Huna Religion was founded in 1872 by Kahuna Ha`ole Nui William Tufts Brigham. Named by its second Mo`i, Kahuna Nui Max Freedom Long, the Hunian sect's third Mo`i, Kahuna Lani, who was ordained as a Kahuna by MFL in 1968. Huna is a scion of ancient Polynesian Ho`omana and Western New Thought.
